Artist Statement:

This series of work is inspired by the forms and colors of sea coral reefs. Variously textured surfaces from the long evolutionary processes as well as sensitive and fragile existence maintained by temperature in the ocean provide a strong inspiration for my work. I use hot glue as a modeling material to create organic sea coral inspired forms and electroform these to produce a rough-textured surface with a delicate structure. The forms are then enhanced with vitreous enamel to play up their natural forms. By focusing on color, texture and form, I make jewelry and objects that express the exquisite beauty of nature.
